Hi guys, I wasn’t very good at updating my slimming world blog was I! Well I’m back and I’m going to be using this space like a food diary. Counting my syns, my free food and my super free. I’ve slowly put weight back on… 10lb to be precise! And it needs to come off! So I’ll be updating this blog on a daily basis from tomorrow, food diarys, exercise logs and weigh in results…. Lets go!!
Ok so it starts today, April 9th. I’ve set a target to loose 10lb in the challenge and getting my family to support me by sponsoring too. Last SW weigh in was 12st 0.5lb on the 5th April.
I’m dreading this week as I’ll have to go to group a day early due to work commitments and I don’t think I will of lost…. I’ve not had any Easter eggs but I have been using my syns to the max the last few days. I hope that the next three days make up for it with plenty of super free food optimising. I want to get a walk and a swim in there too. We shall see how it goes!!
Can you believe that summer is just around the corner? With our thoughts turning to beaches, barbecues and – more importantly – how we’ll look when we peel off all those layers, now’s the time to think about starting summer slimmer than you ever dreamed possible!
Statistics show that over half of us will try to lose weight for the big summer holiday this year but somehow the motivation flags and we end up disappointedly packing the same supersize shorts as last year.
That’s why here at Slimming World we’re encouraging everyone to take part in our Slimmer Summerthon. It will run for six weeks starting from 9th April. We’re asking members to tell us where they’d like to be in six weeks’ time and, whether that’s half a stone lighter, a dress size smaller or a lot more confident, we’ll be working together in groups to give members all the support they need to get sizzling in time for summer.
Slimmers who join the campaign are being encouraged to get sponsored to lose weight and, for the duration of the six weeks, Slimming World will donate £1/€1 for every 1lb group members loseas part of the slimathon – with all funds going to the NSPCC/ISPCC.
And with the added incentive of raising money for such a good cause we’re hoping that the campaign will help to give everyone who’d like to lose weight for summer the extra motivation they need to make a fresh start.
However much weight you have to lose you can make a big difference in six weeks by making long lasting changes that’ll transform your body, your health and your whole outlook, plus help raise money for charity too!
